Issues of Gender in Psychology: Traversing from Sex Differences to Quality of Women's Lives

INTRODUCTION

Out of the four surveys of research that have been carried out so far in psychology, with the fifth survey underway, spanning more than five decades of work, this is only the second occasion on which a review of issues of gender in psychology has been commissioned. While this could be indicative of greater visibility of work done in the area, is it illustrative of an enhanced presence of issues relevant to women's lives as legitimate topics of research in psychology?
