Colaboratory (https://colab.research.google.com/notebooks/welcome.ipynb), or Colab for short, is a free Google cloud-based service that replicates Jupyter Notebook in the cloud. You don’t have to install anything on your system to use it. In most respects, you use Colab as you would a desktop installation of Jupyter Notebook (often shortened to Notebook with an uppercase N throughout the book). This chapter explores Colab and discusses techniques for working with notebooks using either Jupyter Notebook or Colab.
