It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Connecting the microphone
In this section, we will be setting up an omnidirectional microphone to listen for commands/inputs.
We tested off-the-shelf electret microphones, and the audio quality was not sufficient to perform speech recognition on the recorded audio samples. As an alternative, we recommend boundary microphones for a wide pickup, for example, http://a.co/8YKSy4c.
