8 Fade Cues

 

 

The Fade Cue is a core component of controlling cues within the QLab system. A fade is a change in the attributes of a cue over a predetermined period of time. Initially, the purpose of the Fade Cue within QLab was simple; to change the volume settings or to stop an Audio Cue. In the newest versions of QLab, Fade Cues have the ability to control a number of different cue types — Mic, Video, Camera, Text, and Network Cues are all targetable by Fade Cues. In general, for audio-related cues a Fade Cue will affect volume levels, whereas with video-related cues a Fade Cue will affect attributes like opacity, image position, and object geometry.
