This chapter examines QFD from the perspective of organizations that develop products and services. These organizations struggle with development issues all the time, and they have developed strategies for dealing with those issues.
Those strategies include creating phased development models; acquiring various development tools, including CAD/CAM hardware and software; and making use of various budgeting and project-management tools.
