American Customer Satisfaction Index, an indicator of the consumer satisfaction with the goods and services across the US economy sectors, based on surveys and interviews.

AHRQ

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, an agency within the US Department of Health and Human Services.

AIAG

Automotive Industry Action Group, an automotive professional, in quality related areas.

AS 9100D

A standard for requirements for the quality management systems of aviation, aerospace, and defense industries. The first version was released in 1999.

AS 9145

An aerospace standard for the requirements for advanced product quality planning and production part approval process.

ASTM

An international standards organization for a wide range of materials, products, systems, and services, formerly known as American Society for Testing and Materials.

ASTM E2782

a standard guide for measurement systems analysis (MSA).

CDC

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the national public health agency of the United States.

CFR

The Code of Federal Regulations, the US government’s general and permanent rules and regulations.

CMM

Coordinate measuring machine, a device to measure the geometry of a physical object by sensing its surface using a probe.
