The graph is set up as follows:

  • Total cost in dollars is shown on the vertical axis.

  • Order quantity, ranging from zero to two thousand in increments of one thousand is on the horizontal axis.

  • A dashed line extends to the top of the graph from both the one thousand and two thousand marks on the horizontal axis. These line essentially divide the graph into three columns.

  • A curved line, concave up, begins about three fourths of the way up the first column of the graph. It begins about one centimetre away from the vertical axis and ends when it reaches the dashed line extending from one thousand.
