The following instructions are in the screenshot:
From the Excel QM ribbon, select Menu (Alphabetical or By Chapter). Select Transportation from the drop-down menu, and then input 3 Origins (sources) and 3 Destinations.
From the Data tab, select Solver and then click Solve.
A data table, from row 9 to row 13, has the column headers Albuquerque, Boston, Cleveland, and Supply. The row headers are Des Moines, Evansville, Ft. Lauderdale, and Demand. All the data in this table are shown shaded.
Fill in the table with the costs, supplies, and demands.
The row values for Des Moines are 5, 4, 3, and 100.
The row values for Evansville are 8, 4, 3, and 300.
The row values for Ft. Lauderdale are 9, 7, 5, and 300.
