The following instructions are in the spreadsheet:

  • From the Excel QM ribbon, select Menu (Alphabetical or By Chapter). Select Network Analysis as LP and Maximal Flow from the drop-down menu. Then fill in the number of branches or arcs (6). Click OK.

  • When the worksheet opens, enter the flows in the table.

  • After entering the data, click the Data tab and select Solver. Then click Solve.

A data table for arc capacities from and to nodes has the column and row headers from Node 1 to node 6.

  • The first row has the values 0, 3, 10, 2, 0, and 0.

  • The second row has the values 1, 0, 0, 1, 0, and 2.

  • The third row has the values 0, 0, 0, 3, 2, and 0.

  • The fourth row has the values 0, 1, 1, 0, 0, and 1.

  • The fifth row has the values 0, 0, 2, 0, ...
