The following instruction is seen in the screenshot of the spreadsheet:
Enter the transportation data in the shaded area. Then go to the DATA tab on the ribbon, click on Solver in the Data Analysis Group and then click SOLVE. If SOLVER is not on the Data Tab then please see the Help file (Solver) for instructions.
A data table for transportation, from row 9 to row 13, has the column headers Project 1, Project 2, Project 3, and Supply. The row headers are Plant 1, Plant 2, Plant 3, and Demand. The data in this table are shown shaded.
The row values for Plant 1 are 10, 4, 11, and 70.
The row values for Plant 2 are 12, 5, 8, and 50.
The row values for Plant 3 are 9, 7, 6, and 30.
The row values for Demand are 40, 50, 60, and 150 ...
