In this chapter, we’ll continue exploring gate quantum computers and dive further into building some basic algorithms using gates. In the previous chapter, we introduced various gate operations and showed how quantum gates were randomly used to compare a quantum circuit with classical results in the Google supremacy experiment. However, in this chapter, we will use gates in a more meaningful way to show that certain, specific calculations can be performed on quantum computers that are dramatically different from the way calculations are performed on a classical computer.
