In this chapter, I cover some features that are specific to the Advanced version of QuickBooks, including the desktop app that offers a number of benefits over accessing your books via a web browser. I then cover how to back up and restore your company, as opposed to trusting that it will be backed up in the cloud. Granted, Intuit is basing its reputation on keeping everyone’s accounting data safe, but you can never have too many backups. I close the chapter with a discussion of how you can somewhat customize the access that users have to features and reports, including limited access to certain features by location.
