Combining Graphics Systems

This chapter describes the gridBase package, which makes it possible to combine the output from the traditional graphics system with the output from the grid graphics system.
The grid graphics system and the traditional graphics system work completely independently of each other. This means that, while it is possible to produce output from both systems on the same page, there should normally be no expectation that the output from the two systems will correspond in any sensible way.
