I started as a listener and I think that most of the best broadcasters that I’ve ever worked with over many years have been people who started by being intent listeners to radio. They studied radio, they listened to radio stations, they had their favorite DJs, they went to station promotions, they played station contests, and they knew when the new music was coming out.
