Create a Möbius Shape and Control It Using the Gyroscope

In our next project, we’ll generate a figure from scratch and use a for loop and a sequence of translations and rotations to create a Möbius strip based on individual vertices that we record. Topologically speaking, the Möbius strip is an interesting example of a 3D figure that does not have a determinable surface area. Practically, it’s pretty simple to understand and easy to create using just a piece of paper. If you’d like to try, cut or fold a piece of paper into a strip at least five times as long as it is wide. Hold both ends, and twist one of them 180 degrees while holding the other stationary. Now connect the two ends with a piece of tape and you’ve got yourself a Möbius strip. ...
