Chapter 15 Rapid CD and Other Methodologies

The phases of Rapid CD can be broken up reasonably into three fundamental parts:

Requirements gathering—where customer data is gathered and consolidated to characterize the population needs, activities, issues, breakdowns, and potential opportunities.

Work or activity redesign—where the data is used to redesign existing work or life practices by introducing new technology both to streamline it through automation and to support it through new function organized within a user interface.

User experience design—where the system function to support that redesign is refined and a productive user interface is defined through iterative testing with users.
