Envisioning the Future
If we can really understand the problem, the answer will come out of it, because the answer is not separate from the problem.
During phase 1, the rapid response teams played the role of a doctor in identifying the major pain points within their particular area, collectively diagnosing the overall “health” of the company. Now, it is time for the teams to shift their focus and start looking at solutions for these problems. Over the next thirty days, with these pain points in mind, the teams will work on identifying various alternatives for treatment and remedy (see figure 5-1). Each rapid response team, therefore, will envision the future in its own way.
