Distribution and Query Federation

Abstract

This chapter presents the main advantages and challenges in using a distributed RDF stores. It considers the two main types of such systems: homogeneous and heterogeneous ones. The former comprises peer to peer and client server approaches while the latter regroups query federation and mediator-based solutions.
