VALUE TRAPS are beliefs and habits that seem to be good (or at least not to be bad) but actually lead to trouble. The organization stuck in a value trap is like the typical duffer trying to escape a sand trap on a golf course. The more he hacks away at the ball, the deeper he embeds it in the sand.
