One of our goals with this book is to help you understand that gaining confidence doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s possible to increase your confidence without making any radical changes to your behaviour just by being aware of the factors that affect your confidence in a negative way.

By being aware of what robs you of confidence, you can stay on track in developing skills that will help you gain confidence in a specific area. Just as children need to learn how to cross the road safely, we adults need guidance in how to make demanding journeys.
