As a real estate agent, you may represent the owners of apartment buildings, office buildings, or retail buildings like shopping centers as a leasing agent. Just as you can represent a buyer in a sales transaction, you can also represent a tenant, who is someone seeking to rent an apartment or commercial space, in a leasing transaction. State real estate exam writers expect you to know the basics of leasing. You can answer most of these questions if you simply have a clear understanding of the different related definitions.
