TMS320C6x Architecture
THE first section of this appendix is intended to serve as a basic primer on computer architecture to the extent necessary to have a better understanding of the TMS320C6x architecture. It is assumed that the reader has a basic understanding of microprocessor operations. The second section then discusses the TMS320C6x architecture in some detail. Readers familiar with computer architecture may find it unnecessary to read the first section in order to understand the second section. For more detailed information on the TMS320C6x processors, the reader is referred to the technical documentation from Texas Instruments (for example [71,98]).
