15.1    Theory

ONE of the simplest modulation schemes is amplitude modulation, which is normally just abbreviated as AM. The commercial AM broadcast radio stations in the United States use a version of AM called double sideband large carrier (DSB-LC), sometimes also called double sideband with carrier (DSB-WC).
