Chapter Five. Building a Digital Workflow
In a previous edition of this book, we said it was only a matter of when, not if, digital would replace film for most applications. Now we look back on that statement and laugh, because in the short time between these editions, the transition from film to digital is essentially complete. In addition, photographers have latched onto the idea of processing files of raw data straight from the camera’s sensor because it provides a level of control and potential quality comparable to developing and printing your own film.
