Appendix A. Profile Anatomy
The ICC specification prescribes a format for various classes of what are generically referred to as ICC profiles. The intent of the format is to be both platform-independent and application-independent. Before the work of the ICC, profiles were either platform-specific or application-specific.
This appendix provides color geeks with more technical information about what various ICC profiles contain. Naturally it’s not a substitute for the ICC spec itself, which is available at www.color.org, the Web site of the International Color Consortium.
