Another crucial element to getting your source images right is starting off with a consistent color character. The fewer color replacements or wholesale color shifts you use to make your source images in Photoshop, the better off you are likely to be. This is true not only from the standpoint of saving time but also in terms of maintaining image data integrity as much as possible during numerous edits.
