So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Evaluating Image Quality on the Lcd Screen
After making sure that you are metering the light properly, using exposure compensation when appropriate, and checking the histogram to verify that you have captured a good exposure containing all the tonal information necessary to make a fine print, you need to review the image to check for various aspects of image quality. The camera's LCD screen is a window onto the images you have already made and as such, it is a valuable tool for evaluating exposure, checking how the light in the scene has been translated into the digital image, and how flattening the 3D world we live in into a 2D surface is working.
