If you're using a digital darkroom to work on your images, you probably want to make the final prints yourself. This allows you to produce prints to your specifications and to fine-tune the output. Doing it yourself also gives you the satisfaction of perfecting your image from the time you snapped the picture all the way to the final print.
When selecting a printer for your digital darkroom, you need to consider a variety of factors:
The type of printer
The size of prints you plan to produce
The type of paper you want to print on
