Converting Raw Files
Once you've edited and sorted your images, you're ready to optimize them. If you are capturing images in the RAW format—and we strongly recommend that you do—you'll need to convert the RAW files into a true image file format before you can work with them.
Converting your RAW images is in fact the first step in optimizing them. During this process, you will make a number of important decisions about how to produce the best quality from the high-bit data the camera recorded. You can choose one of several tools to help you effectively convert your RAW files.
