Your basic lighting procedure will go something like this:

1.
Select lights for color temperature and wattage.
2.
Place them to achieve a three-point plan.
3.
Adjust the camcorder for white balance and correct exposure.

However, in real-world shooting situations these steps don't give you enough control. You'll also need a variety of accessories to further control and distribute the output of lighting sources.
