Introduction
I started using SketchUp about six years ago after a friend convinced me to give it a shot for some of the architectural design work I was doing while working for a firm in Los Angeles. At the time, I was spending about half of my time on the verge of falling asleep drafting in AutoCAD or stressed out about how much time I would have to spend in 3DS Max, Photoshop, and Illustrator to put together my next presentation. By all comparisons, SketchUp was simply fun! And that was the initial reason why I was compelled to figure out a way to use it to do just about everything.
