Ethics and the Role of Producers, Writers, Actors, and Directors
Writers, directors, actors, and producers all have to decide what part ethics will play in their work. The creative team may chose to ignore, embrace, or co-opt ethical issues, but they can’t readily deny their existence; sometimes the ethical quandaries lurk below the surface before imploding and creating a crisis situation. Sometimes the quandaries are readily apparent at the start. In this chapter, we will examine some of the ethical issues that creative individuals face on a daily basis.
