Texturing
Texturing is more than just adding maps to a model and surfacing the objects in your scene. It's also about setting up an object's material so that it reacts properly to light and mimics the real-world surface you are trying to create. I'm not going to discuss methods for specifically creating a surface such as metal. Instead, I want to share my own workflow for adding textures to a model through texture maps. Let's begin by discussing where texturing starts, which is collecting reference.
