Chapter Seven. Version Control and Batch Processing

In the previous two chapters you saw how Capture NX’s nondestructive editing architecture lets you easily add and change edits at any time. Unlike destructive editing systems, you aren’t limited to just a few “undos,” and you can change or remove edits in any order. You may find that once you’re used to working nondestructively, going back to a normal destructive editor is very difficult.

But nondestructive editing has some additional benefits that we haven’t explored yet. As you learned earlier, when you make an edit in Capture NX, the specifics of that edit are stored in a list.
