As Adobe Illustrator has evolved over the years, it has morphed from a relatively simple vector-drawing program into a full-featured graphic arts tool. The addition of live effects has blurred the line between drawing and painting, and the introduction of multiple artboards in Illustrator CS4 extended the concept of the drawing board beyond a single size of digital “paper.”
