I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

On any given day, if you get to the office with confidence, ready to engage fully with reality, you've won half the battle—but as a leader, you know that's the easy half. Enlisting other people is tougher than getting right in your own mind, and I'm willing to bet it's a challenge you meet on a daily basis. There are a lot of books out there on how to motivate people, but if you've ever tried to apply their advice, you know that the kind of person who responds best is usually the kind who was somewhat motivated already. There are always some people who won't sign up no matter how hard you try. They are the ones who can push you to the limits of your patience and resources.
