Fit for Reality
Aspiring producers spend a considerable amount of time in the early part of their careers trying to find a “good fit” for almost everything relevant to their work. Is your location a good fit for the mood you’re trying to create? Are the personality types you’ve cast a good fit for your series? Is your pitch a good fit for NBC? Is your outfit a good fit for the pitch meeting?
Time and time again, producers obsess over these and myriad other “good fits.” Sadly, however, many fail to explore the most important “fit” of all.
