THE WORLD CAN be a heavy place. Thankfully, some extremely funny people have created brilliant things to balance out the weight.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Napoleon Dynamite. Elf. Office Space. The Big Lebowski. Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Anchorman. The Grand Budapest Hotel. If you don't think any of those movies are the least bit funny, we have work to do. Message me for a humor consultation. It could either be a workshop or a movie-watching night. This chapter is about connection – with our colleagues and customers, with our friends and with ourselves. It is about embracing your inner weird. It is about what we can do when we want something more than the weight with which the world burdens us every day. I hear from clients regularly about their need to delve deeper into communication. I hear from friends regularly about the weight of the world and how it burdens them. The ideas in this chapter will help us connect with other people and lessen that weight so we have more space for other ideas. It will help to bridge the gaps between us.
