So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Appendix 2
The purpose of this appendix is to emphasise the degree of difference in the responses of 38 loudspeakers, all of which were submitted by their manufacturers as small, professional, music-monitoring loudspeakers. All of the measurements were made in the anechoic chamber shown in Figure 4.2, and all measurements were made with the loudspeaker and microphone in the same position. They were all carried out by Dr Keith Holland, who is currently a senior lecturer at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research. The measurements are incontrovertible.
None of the 38 plots of on-axis frequency response and harmonic distortion are similar to the eye, even when only viewed casually. Neither are the 38 plots of the step functions, nor the waterfalls. ...
