Abstract:
Chapter 5 advocates that librarian applicants analytically assess their resources and expectations before launching any career search. Three key considerations are analyzed: (1) the need to appraise career identity and career expectations; (2) the need to assess accurately prior training and experience, and then identify core skills and marketable talents; (3) the need to establish our long-term career goals.
