Higher education recognizes the need to develop in their students competencies that will lead them to successful careers. At the same time, employers have a need to develop in their employees those competencies that are necessary for efficient daily operations of their business organizations. Both educational institutions and organizations that employ their graduates share the need to provide training and development to address these common interests, particularly in the hard skills of technical and functional ability.
