ALTHOUGH THE FUTURE OF YOUR ORGANIZATION will be bright when you relentlessly pursue operational excellence, remember that operational excellence is a journey, not a destination. There is no finish line. There may be many milestones along the way and many points at which an organization can consider its successes, but at no point should it stop pursuing excellence in everything it does.

When you stop pursuing excellence, you let the competition pass you by.
