Abstract

The world has been under the cruel clutch of Novel Coronavirus since March, 2020. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared it as a pandemic on 11 March 2020 and came to be known as COVID-19 pandemic. Since infection caused by the virus spreads from one person to the other through close social contact, lockdown was imposed across several countries of the world and schools, colleges, and offices were closed. All the official works were done online. Educational institutions were also not an exception. Teachers and students were brought under online platform where classes were taken virtually using various platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco, Webex etc. There has always been the provision of video class recording in the different educational institutions across the world. In the present study, an attempt has been made to identify the modern methods applied for remote teaching in some selected private and government educational institutions in Kolkata.
