Abstract

Announcing renewable energy targets has become a common feature of energy strategies in most countries of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. In this chapter, the targets of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Egypt are analyzed in more detail. All four countries have promulgated relatively ambitious renewable goals for 2020 and 2030, which are even backed by master plan documents and national roadmaps, outlining the details of their implementation. ...
