Reduction factor of lines consisting of one overhead and one cable section
Abstract
This chapter presents the analytical expressions for the estimation of the part of a ground-fault current dissipating from the substation ground grid into the surrounding earth in the case where the feeding line is not with uniformly distributed parameters. In such cases the ground-fault current distribution is somewhat more complex and a significant portion of the ground-fault current can be injected into the earth at the place of line discontinuity. The presented expressions enable at the design stage a sufficiently accurate estimation of the ground-fault current part dissipated into the ground only through the substation ground grid/electrode. Also, the presented ...
