Socioeconomic assessment

Abstract

As ingredients in socioeconomic assessments, social values, monetary economies, market economy, inflation, and break-even calculations are introduced. After a brief summary of current implementations of neo-liberal concepts and ongoing debates on shortcomings such as neglect of indirect components (environment, health, etc.), the method of analysis called Life-cycle analysis is described and applied to a number of examples from the energy sector.
