In Chapter 4, we discussed the building blocks of IT strategy. As you recall, we reviewed the HealthIT.gov strategy document to better understand how goals, objectives, and strategies relate to one another. Briefly, one of the goals was to “promote health and wellness.” Three objectives were identified, and under each objective, and strategies to achieve each objective were discussed. Using that same approach, we’ll begin by assessing your IT strategy.
