Abstract

Farming is the backbone of the Indian economy. The IoT-based smart agriculture monitoring system is an Arduino-based automation project made for even those who are new to the field of architecture. The model automatically waters plants based on the temperature’s effect on soil moisture and automatically detects the level of water available and turns the motor on or off according to the water measurement/level details already loaded into the model. Depending upon the soil moisture, the water is automatically passed on to the field through a mobile application. By measuring the value of pH of the soil, the soil content and the nutrient availability in the soil can be detected. To prevent animals from entering fields and destroying the crops, a smart surveillance system is used to alert farmers of their presence. A drone system is implemented for two purposes: one is to act as a camera to monitor the fields and plant growth, and another is to spray pesticides. ...
