Abstract

The internet of things (IoT) has become a part of our lives in more ways than can be imagined, such as in remote monitoring, smart manufacturing, healthcare, and unlocking business value, which has made our lives easier and more comfortable. It helps to convey reports to users more securely. Moreover, its convergence with artificial intelligence is driving towards a more productive future. A lot of crucial research studies and investigations have been done in order to enhance IoT architecture by combining features and technologies suggested by various methods. However, the available research is still immature as it isn’t only about intelligent designs and decisions. The main purpose of this chapter is to make the environment very intelligent in order to become much more useful for industries.

Many challenges have been identified by the research community, including interoperability, security and privacy, reliability, energy constraints, scalability, and lack of common standards, and lack of mature IoT technologies and business processes.
