Abstract
The worldwide agriculture system plays an important role in income and production. Some key environmental parameters are directly related to crop quality and quantity. Therefore it is essential to control these environmental parameters to increase crop production. By 2030 the world population will reach over 8.5 billion. Conventional methods used in the agriculture system are not enough to fulfill the increasing demand for food. Harmful pesticides are being used to address increasing demands, which have degraded the soil quality. The agriculture system faces innumerable hurdles like weather, disease, irrigation, inappropriate or no soil analysis, pest infestation, insufficient drainage, and a lot more. The rapid rise in population, deteriorating natural resources, decreased agricultural land, and climate changes are ushering the agriculture system into a new era. The renovation of agriculture will require new techniques and tools to overcome hurdles of the system, and artificial intelligence (AI) and the internet of things (IoT) can help do this.
